It is expected that dancers exhibit a collegiate and professional look. Half tops, shorts/leggings and jazz shoes are required for the pom/jazz solo portion of auditions. Half tops/tank tops, sweatpants and sneakers are required for the hip-hop portion of auditions. Hair should be pulled back neatly away from your face and makeup should be “gameday ready”.
If you applied to SJU for the upcoming academic year, you can try out for the team. However, all dancers who are offered a position on the team must accept their admittance to SJU first. All team members must be full time SJU students.
We're looking for dancers that have strong dance backgrounds, are willing to work hard to put in the time and effort required to be part of a competitive team, have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to various styles, and like to have fun... just to name a few qualities!
